Regular Season Round 10: Hoverla - Rivne 87-67

An interesting game for Hoverla (7-1) which hosted in Ivano-Frankivsk one of their biggest challengers Rivne-OSHVSM (5-3). Second ranked Hoverla had an easy win 87-67. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Rivne-OSHVSM. Hoverla forced 24 Rivne-OSHVSM turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. 25 personal fouls committed by Rivne-OSHVSM helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Yevgen Koroviyakov (199-88) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 7 steals. Stanislav Serpilin (193-93) contributed with 28 points for the winners. Four Hoverla players scored in double figures. Swingman Nazar Kisilchuk (194-97) replied with 19 points and 6 assists and forward Vasil Fedorchuk (200-96) added 12 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Rivne-OSHVSM. Rivne-OSHVSM's coach rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Hoverla maintains second position with 7-1 record having five points less than leader Dinamo-Bipa. Rivne-OSHVSM at the other side keeps the third place with three games lost. Hoverla are looking forward to face league's leader Dinamo-Bipa in Odessa in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Rivne-OSHVSM will play at home against Khimik-2 and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
