Regular Season Round 9: Sirius TgM - ICIM Arad 59-63

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Targu Mures where 8th ranked Sirius TgM (2-7) was defeated by ninth ranked ICIM Arad (2-6) 63-59 on Monday. The best player for the winners was Serbian guard Brankica Hadzovic (175-81) who scored 20 points. American forward Monique Coker (185-82, college: ODU) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Angel Robinson (170-89, college: Marquette, agency: LBM Management) who recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and Serbian Zorica Mitov (188-87) added 10 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Sirius TgM's coach Zakarias Steff tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. ICIM Arad moved-up to eighth place. Sirius TgM lost seventh consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with seven games lost. ICIM Arad will meet higher ranked Olimpia Brasov (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sirius TgM will have a break next round.
