Rather predictable result in Istanbul where fifth ranked Anadolu Efes (7-3) defeated 7th ranked Sakarya BSB (5-5) 83-68 on Monday. Anadolu Efes made 29-of-37 free shots (78.4 percent) during the game, while Sakarya BSB only scored nine points from the stripe. Anadolu Efes forced 19 Sakarya BSB turnovers. Serbian center Vladimir Stimac (210-87, agency: Interperformances) fired 23 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American guard Josh Adams (188-93, college: Wyoming) chipped in 18 points (made all of his nine free throws !!!). International forward Metecan Birsen (208-95) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and Serbian power forward Nikola Jankovic (207-94, agency: BeoBasket) added 16 points respectively for lost side. Sakarya BSB's coach Selcuk Ernak rotated twelve players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Anadolu Efes moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Eskisehir Basket. Newly promoted Sakarya BSB keeps the seventh position with five games lost. They share it with Galatasaray and Istanbul BBSK. Anadolu Efes' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Istanbul to the arena Istanbul BBSK.
