Bottom-ranked Nevezis managed to get a fourth victory. This time they edged ninth-ranked Vytautas in Kedainiai 103-102. Nevezis dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Vytautas' 28 and made 19-of-20 charity shots (95.0 percent) during the game. Nevezis forced 19 Vytautas turnovers. It was a good game for American guard James Woodard (191-94, college: Tulsa) who saved his team from a defeat with 16 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Gabas Maldunas (206-93, college: Dartmouth) contributed with 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Five Nevezis players scored in double figures. Forward Justas Sinica (203-85) replied with 24 points and Ukrainian point guard Denys Lukashov (190-89, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) added 16 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Vytautas. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Nevezis maintains tenth position with 4-12 record. Vytautas at the other side dropped to the eighth place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Siauliai. Nevezis will play against higher ranked Juventus (#7) in Utena in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Vytautas will have a break next round.
