We should mention about the upset which took place in Ovar, where higher ranked CAB Madeira (6-5) was outleveled in a road game by ninth ranked Ovarense (4-7) 91-71. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of CAB Madeira. Ovarense made 16-of-20 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 CAB Madeira turnovers. Forward Joao Grosso (196-94) nailed 26 points (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) for the winning side and Canadian-British forward Jermel Kennedy (201-89, college: Lander) accounted for 22 points and 6 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Five Ovarense players scored in double figures. American power forward Tommie Eddie (201-82, college: Mississippi) came up with 25 points and 8 rebounds and the former international swingman Fabio Lima (198-88) added 16 points and 5 rebounds respectively for CAB Madeira in the defeat. Ovarense moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Lusitania and Galitos-Barreiro. CAB Madeira at the other side keeps the fifth position with five games lost. Ovarense's next round opponent will be Lusitania (#10) in Angra. CAB Madeira will play on the road against Electrico FC (#11) in Ponte de Sor and hope to win that game.
