Regular Season Round 10: Virum - Stevnsgade 65-58

An interesting game for Virum (7-3) which hosted in Virum one of their biggest challengers Stevnsgade (5-5). Second ranked Virum managed to get a 7-point victory 65-58. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Stevnsgade won fourth quarter 15-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Virum dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Stevnsgade's 24. American forward Valerie Driscoll (193-92, college: Quinnipiac) had a double-double by scoring 10 points, 20 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import guard Caitlin Ingle (172-95, college: Drake, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Five Virum players scored in double figures. At the losing side the former international guard Ida Pretzmann (178-90, college: TCU) responded with 25 points and the former international forward Ena Viso (179-93, college: S.Dakota St.) scored 8 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Defending champion maintains second position with 7-3 record having five points less than leader Horsholm. Stevnsgade at the other side keeps the third place with five games lost. They share the position with SISU. Virum will play against Vaerlose (#5) on the road in the next round. Stevnsgade will play against the league's leader Horsholm and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
