Regular Season Round 14: Fortuna - Siauliai-Univ. 78-64

Bottom-ranked Siauliai-Univ. is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their 12th consecutive match to fourth ranked Fortuna (6-5) 78-64. They made 18-of-20 charity shots (90.0 percent) during the game. Fortuna outrebounded Siauliai-Univ. 42-30 including 27 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Siauliai-Univ.'s players. Forward Sandra Baliutaviciute (182-81) had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and Roberta Mizgeryte (188-95) chipped in 26 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) during the contest. Center Enrika Matiukaite (191-0) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds and American guard Kourtney Williams (175, college: S.Carolina St.) scored 19 points. Four Siauliai-Univ. players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fortuna maintains fourth position with 6-5 record. Siauliai-Univ. at the other side still closes the standings with 12 games lost. Fortuna will play against league's leader Suduva in Marijampole in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Siauliai-Univ. will have a break next round.
