The most exciting game of round 10 in the Liga Nationala took place in Satu Mare. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 5th ranked Cluj Napoca (4-6) to third ranked Satu Mare (7-2) 91-89 on Saturday evening. Satu Mare looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Cluj Napoca helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The game was dominated by American players. Guard Porchia Green (180-87, college: Ball St.) fired 21 points and 6 assists for the winners. Guard Taneisha Harrison (182-89, college: Pittsburgh) chipped in 16 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. Point guard Leslie Vorpahl (168-95, college: Tulane) produced 26 points and 8 assists and swingman Theairra Taylor (180-91, college: Iowa) added 21 points and 9 rebounds (perfect from downtown making all five shots) respectively for lost side. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Satu Mare moved-up to second place. Cluj Napoca at the other side dropped to the sixth position with six games lost. They share it with Timisoara. Satu Mare are looking forward to face Alba Iulia (#5) on the road in the next round. Cluj Napoca will play against Timisoara and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
