Regular Season Round 10: Vinnystkiye M. - Chaika 75-78

The most exciting game of round 10 in the Superleague took place in Vinnytsia. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 5th ranked Vinnystkiye M. (5-8) to seventh ranked Chaika (5-9) 78-75 on Saturday evening. The guests trailed by 4 points after three quarters before their 26-19 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Chaika made 23-of-30 free shots (76.7 percent) during the game. Chaika outrebounded Vinnystkiye M. 43-31 including 31 on the defensive glass. 25 personal fouls committed by Vinnystkiye M. helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Olexandra Radulovich (186-86) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 19 rebounds (made all of her nine free throws !!!). Forward Angelica Lyashko (174-0) contributed with 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Cynthia Omoboogunje (185-94) replied with 16 points and 9 rebounds and Larysa Stadnik (185-92) added 20 points in the effort for Vinnystkiye M.Four Chaika and five Vinnystkiye M. players scored in double figures. Chaika moved-up to sixth place. Vinnystkiye M. at the other side keeps the fifth position with eight games lost. Chaika are looking forward to face league's leader Kyiv Basket on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Vinnystkiye M. will play against Tavriyska Zirka (#8) in Kherson and is hoping to win this game.
