The game in Ukmerge supposed to be also quite interesting. Third ranked Kibirkstis (8-3) played at the court of 6th ranked Vilkmerge (2-9). Kibirkstis smashed Vilkmerge 99-61 on Saturday. Kibirkstis forced 23 Vilkmerge turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Vilkmerge's players. International forward Laura Juskaite (187-97) notched 15 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the effort and international forward Gabija Meskonyte (181-98) supported her with 20 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Five Kibirkstis players scored in double figures. Even 16 points and 8 rebounds by forward Martyna Petrenaite (181-98) did not help to save the game for Vilkmerge. Guard Rita Zilinskaite (175-92) added 10 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the hosts. Vilkmerge's coach Gytautas Kievinas gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Kibirkstis maintains third position with 8-3 record having just two points less than leader Suduva. Loser Vilkmerge keeps the sixth place with nine games lost. Kibirkstis will meet league's second-placed Hoptrans-Sirenos Kaunas on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Vilkmerge will play against Aistes-LSU (#5) in Kaunas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
