No shocking result in a game in Afyonkarahisar where second ranked Afyon Bld (12-2) defeated 8th ranked Duzce Belediye (7-7) 97-88 on Saturday. Afyon Bld made 21-of-22 free shots (95.5 percent) during the game. Afyon Bld outrebounded Duzce Belediye 38-27 including 28 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international point guard Ibrahim Yildirim (190-90) who scored 25 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Afyon Bld have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 12-2 record behind leader Turk Telekom. Loser Duzce Belediye keeps the eighth place with seven games lost. Afyon Bld will face bottom-ranked Yalova Bld (#18) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Duzce Belediye will play against Bakirkoy (#12) and hope to win that game.
