Regular Season Round 13: Vienna - Kapfenberg 89-88

The most exciting game of round 13 in the A Bundesliga took place in Vienna. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of much higher ranked Kapfenberg Bulls (8-4) to seventh ranked Vienna (5-7) 89-88 on Saturday evening. Czech center Jiri Hubalek (208-82, college: Iowa St., agency: Interperformances) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Serbian point guard Bogic Vujosevic (190-92) answered with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists and American swingman Brian Oliver (201-90, college: Seton Hall) added 17 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Kapfenberg Bulls. Four Kapfenberg Bulls players scored in double figures. Kapfenberg Bulls' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Vienna maintains seventh place with 5-7 record. Defending champion Kapfenberg Bulls dropped to the third position with four games lost. Vienna are looking forward to face Furstenfeld Panthers (#8) on the road in the next round. Kapfenberg Bulls will have a break next round.
