Regular Season Round 12: TuSLi Berlin - Wolfenbuettel 68-66

Date: December 16, 2017
Rather predictable result when second ranked TuSLi Berlin (8-2) edged 6th ranked Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel (5-5) in Lichterfelde 68-66 on Saturday. However just two-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel won third quarter 13-9. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Strangely Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel outrebounded TuSLi Berlin 48-29 including a 20-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for power forward Nyara Sabally (-0) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds. International swingman Ireti Amojo (176-90, college: Washington St.) contributed with 9 points for the winners. TuSLi Berlin's coach Alexandra Maerz used entire bench in such tough game. American forward Brianna Rollerson (183-94, college: Creighton) replied with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 24 rebounds and Canadian guard Nakeshia Hyde (180-90, college: Texas Tech) added 26 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel. TuSLi Berlin have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position in North with 8-2 record behind leader Freiburg. Loser Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel keeps the sixth place with five games lost. TuSLi Berlin will have a break next round. Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel will play at home against B.Loewen (#10) and hope to win that game.
