Undefeated leader Sf.Gheorghe delivered the tenth consecutive victory. This time they crushed 5th ranked Timisoara (4-6) 72-50 in Sfantu Gheorghe. They outrebounded Timisoara 38-27 including 28 on the defensive glass. American swingman Adrienne Webb (175-90, college: LSU) notched 22 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international guard Ancuta Stoenescu (175-80) supported her with 16 points. Even 20 points and 5 rebounds by American guard Dlesha Lloyd (179-86, college: Clemson) did not help to save the game for Timisoara. Ukrainian center Anna Kiriienko (190-93) added 12 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sf.Gheorghe (10-0) have an impressive ten-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with a perfect record of 10 victories in a row. Timisoara lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the sixth place with six games lost. Sf.Gheorghe's next round opponent will be ICIM Arad (#8) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Timisoara will play against Cluj Napoca and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
