Another exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Istanbul: Istanbul BBSK (#8) and Anadolu Efes (#4). Istanbul BBSK (6-5) crushed visiting Anadolu Efes (7-4) by 26 points 84-58. It was a great evening for Croatian power forward Ivan Buva (208-91) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. American point guard Michael Thompson (177-89, college: Northwestern) helped adding 15 points and 6 assists. Five Istanbul BBSK players scored in double figures. American guard Josh Adams (188-93, college: Wyoming) responded with 13 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and Serbian center Vladimir Stimac (210-87, agency: Interperformances) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds. The victory was the third consecutive win for Istanbul BBSK. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Darussafaka and Sakarya BSB. Loser Anadolu Efes dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. Istanbul BBSK will meet Gaziantep (#15) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Anadolu Efes will play against Banvit (#9) and hope to secure a win.
