Regular Season Round 10: Dragon Force - Maia Basket 76-64

The most important game in the last round took place in Porto between second ranked Maia Basket (7-3) and fifth ranked Dragon Force (5-5) on Sunday night. Maia Basket was defeated by Dragon Force on the road 64-76. Dragon Force dominated down low during the game scoring 40 of its points in the paint compared to Maia Basket's 16. Worth to mention a great performance of Vladyslav Voytso (200-99) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 8 rebounds. Francisco Amarante (192-0) contributed with 12 points and 7 assists for the winners. Dragon Force's coach Joao Perdo Goncalves used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Joao Lucas (195-96) replied with 25 points and 8 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and point guard Goncalo Madureira (185-98) added 12 points in the effort for Maia Basket. Dragon Force maintains fifth position in North with 5-5 record. Maia Basket at the other side keeps the second place with three games lost. They share the position with Sampaense. Dragon Force's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Porto to the arena Vasco.
