There was no surprise in Giresun where 11th ranked Yesilgiresun Bld (4-7) was defeated by fifth ranked Eskisehir Basket (8-3) 87-79. Eskisehir Basket players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. The game was dominated by American players. It was an exceptional evening for power forward Josh Duncan (203-86) who led the winners and scored 26 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Point guard Billy Baron (187-90, college: Canisius) accounted for 25 points for the winning side. Eskisehir Basket's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard Rashad James (188-90, college: Keiser) came up with 18 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Darrell Williams (203-89, college: Tex.A&M-Comm., agency: 3Eye) added 11 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Yesilgiresun Bld in the defeat. Four Yesilgiresun Bld players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Eskisehir Basket. They moved-up to fourth place. Yesilgiresun Bld at the other side keeps the eleventh position with seven games lost. Eskisehir Basket's next round opponent will be league's leader Tofas in Bursa and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Yesilgiresun Bld will play on the road against Demir IBB (#11) in Buyukcekmece and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
