Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Istanbul: Yakin Dogu (#3) and Istanbul Uni (#13). Yakin Dogu (9-1) smashed visiting Istanbul Uni (1-9) by 43 points 88-45. Yakin Dogu dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Istanbul Uni's 28. They outrebounded Istanbul Uni 51-23 including a 38-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Yakin Dogu players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Istanbul Uni's players. Romanian forward Claudia Pop (182-89, agency: ProDep Management) added 12 points for lost side. Istanbul Uni's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Yakin Dogu have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Fenerbahce and Hatay. Istanbul Uni lost third consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth place with nine games lost. Yakin Dogu's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Istanbul to the arena Besiktas.
