There was no surprise when 15th ranked Mersin Gelisim (3-10) was crushed at home by fifth ranked Edremit (9-4) 86-65. Edremit dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Mersin Gelisim's 28. They outrebounded Mersin Gelisim 38-25 including 26 on the defensive glass. Edremit players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Mersin Gelisim's players. Bahamas center Waltiea Rolle (198-90, college: N.Carolina) nailed a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side and Hande Celebi (-90, agency: 1andBox Sports Agency) accounted for 15 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Four Edremit players scored in double figures.
