Regular Season Round 11: Ch.Mavpy 2 - Niko-Basket 68-102

There was no surprise in Cherkasy where bottom-ranked Ch.Mavpy 2 (0-12) was outplayed by leader Niko-Basket (12-0) 102-68 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Niko-Basket. Ch.Mavpy 2 was better in third quarter 23-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Niko-Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 78 of its points in the paint compared to Ch.Mavpy 2's 40. Niko-Basket forced 21 Ch.Mavpy 2 turnovers and outrebounded them 56-33 including a 22-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. Niko-Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for forward Vadim Zaplotinskiy (200-97) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Kyrylo Meshheryakov (197-95) helped adding 18 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Five Niko-Basket players scored in double figures. Niko-Basket's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward Maksym Deyna (204-99) responded with 13 points and 8 rebounds and Kiril Panfilov scored 12 points. Niko-Basket have an impressive series of twelve victories in a row. They maintain first place with 12-0 record. Loser Ch.Mavpy 2 still closes the standings with 12 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
