Regular Season Round 15: Koeln Rh.Stars - OrangeAcademy 68-51

Everything went according to plan when third ranked Koeln Rh.Stars (10-5) beat at home 13th ranked OrangeAcademy (4-11) 68-51. Koeln Rh.Stars forced 25 OrangeAcademy turnovers. Strangely OrangeAcademy outrebounded Koeln Rh.Stars 40-27 including 29 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for American forward Kavin Gilder-Tilbury (201-94, college: Texas St.) who led his team to a victory with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. His fellow American import guard Jesse Morgan (196-91, college: Temple) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Center Bjoern Rohwer (213-95) answered with 17 points and 7 rebounds and naturalized Austrian point guard David Kramer (191-97) added 12 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for OrangeAcademy. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Koeln Rh.Stars maintains third place with 10-5 record having four points less than leader Crailsheim, which they share with Heidelberg and Karlsruhe PS. Newly promoted OrangeAcademy dropped to the fourteenth position with 11 games lost. Koeln Rh.Stars' next round opponent will be Karlsruhe PS (#5) on the road.
