It was a good game for naturalized Canadian power forward Robert Nortmann (204-87, college: Dalhousie) who led his team to a victory with 14 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Israeli center Anton Shoutvin (206-89) contributed with 12 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Gladiators players scored in double figures. Louis Olinde (205-98) answered with 20 points and 8 rebounds and swingman Tibor Taras (197-97) added 13 points in the effort for Baunach. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Gladiators. They moved-up to ninth place. Baunach lost their fourth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 14 games lost. Gladiators' next round opponent will be league's leader Crailsheim Merlins at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Baunach will play against Chemnitz (#11) and hope to win that game.
