Rather expected game when 10th ranked Ovarense (4-8) was defeated at home by seventh ranked Terceira (7-6) 91-78 on Friday. Terceira made 28-of-34 free shots (82.4 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American power forward Marcus Van (201-87, college: Cent.Michigan) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Marqueze Coleman (193-93, college: Nevada) chipped in 22 points and 5 rebounds. Five Terceira players scored in double figures. American guard Kyle Anderson (190-93, college: Delaware) produced 29 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and Canadian-British forward Jermel Kennedy (201-89, college: Lander) added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Terceira moved-up to fifth place. Loser Ovarense keeps the tenth position with eight games lost. Terceira will meet league's leader Benfica in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ovarense will play against Electrico FC (#11) in Ponte de Sor and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
