Regular Season Round 10: CSU Sibiu - Dinamo B. 111-65

Bottom-ranked CS Dinamo Bucuresti (0-11) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 111-65 loss to fourth ranked CSU Sibiu (8-3) in Sibiu. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. The game without a history. CSU Sibiu led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to CS Dinamo Bucuresti's 34. CSU Sibiu forced 24 CS Dinamo Bucuresti turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by CS Dinamo Bucuresti's players. International swingman Radu Paliciuc (200-88) notched 34 points (!!!), 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and point guard Mirel Dragoste (184-95) supported him with 32 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Even 13 points and 7 rebounds by Amedeo Casale (194-97) did not help to save the game for CS Dinamo Bucuresti. Stefan Mainea added 13 points for lost side. Four CS Dinamo Bucuresti players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. CSU Sibiu have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. CS Dinamo Bucuresti at the other side still closes the standings with 11 games lost. CSU Sibiu's next round opponent will be again bottom-ranked CS Dinamo Bucuresti (#12) at home and are hoping to win another game.
