Regular Season Round 10: Oradea - Timba Timis. 100-76

There was no surprise when 10th ranked Timba Timosoara (2-7) was crushed on the road by seventh ranked Oradea (6-3) 100-76. The game was mostly controlled by Oradea. Timba Timosoara was better in fourth quarter 26-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Oradea forced 20 Timba Timosoara turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Timba Timosoara's players. The former international swingman Andrei Mandache (191-87) notched 14 points and 6 assists to lead the effort and Montenegrin Goran Gajovic (199-88, agency: 011 Sports) supported him with 15 points. Five Oradea players scored in double figures. Oradea's coach Cristian Achim felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 24 points and 9 rebounds by American forward Cameron Naylor (201-94, college: Texas St.) did not help to save the game for Timba Timosoara. His fellow American import center John Florveus (211-90, college: Georgia, agency: Slash Sports) added 14 points and 9 rebounds for lost side. Oradea moved-up to fifth place. Newly promoted Timba Timosoara keeps the tenth position with seven games lost. Oradea's next round opponent will be higher ranked Steaua CSM (#4) in Bucuresti and it may be quite challenging game. Timba Timosoara will play at home against Pitesti (#6) and hope to win that game.
