Very predictable result in Rogaska Slatina where second ranked Rogaska (7-3) defeated 7th ranked Ilirija (4-6) 82-69 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Rogaska. Ilirija managed to win second period 18-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. International forward Mitja Nikolic-Smrdelj (200-91, agency: Players Group) fired a double-double by scoring 26 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners. American guard Rashun Davis (180-93, college: Radford) chipped in 24 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Davis is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. International point guard Zan-Mark Sisko (189-97, agency: BeoBasket) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international forward Stipe Modric (205-79) added 11 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Ilirija players scored in double figures. Ilirija's coach Sasa Doncic let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Rogaska keeps a position of league leader, which they share with KK Primorska. Ilirija lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the eighth place with six games lost. Rogaska will meet at home Helios (#6) in the next round where they are favorite. Ilirija's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Ljubljana to the arena Olimpija.
