Regular Season Round 10: UBT Cluj Napoca - Phoenix Galati 91-75

No shocking result in a game when second ranked UBT Cluj Napoca (7-2) defeated at home 6th ranked Phoenix Galati (6-4) 91-75. The game was mostly controlled by UBT Cluj Napoca. Phoenix Galati was better in fourth quarter 25-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. UBT Cluj Napoca forced 22 Phoenix Galati turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. Senegalese power forward Ousmane Barro (207-84, college: Marquette) notched a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds to lead the effort and Croatian forward Zeljko Sakic (204-88, agency: BeoBasket) supported him with 15 points and 8 assists. Even 18 points and 9 rebounds by American power forward Tony Gugino (207-86, college: Hillsdale) did not help to save the game for Phoenix Galati. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Despite that victory UBT Cluj Napoca went down to third position due to points difference. Phoenix Galati at the other side keeps the sixth place with four games lost. UBT Cluj Napoca's next round opponent will be league's leader BC Timisoara on the road and it will be for sure the game of the week. Phoenix Galati will play against Craiova (#9) and hope to win that game.
