Regular Season Round 10: KK Primorska - Zlatorog 93-77

Liga Nova KBM top team - KK Primorska (7-3) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat tenth ranked Zlatorog (2-8) in Koper 93-77. The game was mostly controlled by KK Primorska. Zlatorog was better in second period 27-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 19-of-21 charity shots (90.5 percent) during the game. Croatian center Marijan Cakarun (204-90, agency: PEPI SPORT) notched 22 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and international Tadej Ferme (187-91, agency: PEPI SPORT) supported him with 27 points and 4 assists. KK Primorska's coach Jurica Golemac allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 20 points by Montenegrin forward Petar Kusovac (195-93, college: S.Centar) did not help to save the game for Zlatorog. The former international Miha Lapornik (194-93) added 19 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Four Zlatorog players scored in double figures. KK Primorska maintains first position with 7-3 record, which they share with Rogaska. Zlatorog at the other side stay at the bottom place with eight games lost. KK Primorska will play against Hopsi Polzela (#7) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Zlatorog will play against Tajfun and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
