Regular Season Round 12: Vrsac - Student 79-85

Not a big story in a game when 12th ranked ZKK Vrsac (1-11) was defeated at home by fifth ranked Student (8-4) 85-79 on Saturday. ZKK Vrsac trailed by 14 points at halftime and as many as 16 after three quarters before a 25-15 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 79-85 at the end of the game. The best player for the winners was power forward Natasa Mijatovic (191-89) who scored 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Jovana Jeremic (-95) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Student players scored in double figures. Student's coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Jovana Jaksic (178-92) who recorded a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Ines Corda (169-95) added 30 points and 5 assists respectively. Student have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Radivoj Korac and Kraljevo. ZKK Vrsac lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost. They share it with Sumadija KG. Student will meet ZKK Kraljevo (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. ZKK Vrsac will play against Sabac (#7) and hope to win that game.
