Regular Season Round 11: ICIM Arad - Sf.Gheorghe 58-82

Liga Nationala top team - Sf.Gheorghe (11-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eighth ranked ICIM Arad (3-7) 82-58. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of ICIM Arad. It was a great evening for Swedish forward Danielle Hamilton-Carter (190-90, college: Georgia Tech) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. International point guard Annemarie Godri-Parau (172-84) helped adding 13 points and 5 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Four Sf.Gheorghe players scored in double figures. American guard Porsche Poole (172-89, college: Michigan St.) responded with 15 points and 6 rebounds and Bosnian guard Matea Tavic (178-92) scored 14 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sf.Gheorghe have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 11-0 record. ICIM Arad at the other side keeps the eighth position with seven games lost. Sf.Gheorghe will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. ICIM Arad will play on the road against Cluj Napoca (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
