No shocking result in a game when third ranked Alexandria (7-3) beat at home 9th ranked Sirius TgM (2-8) 76-64 on Saturday. Alexandria dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Sirius TgM's 22. They outrebounded Sirius TgM 47-35 including 32 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for American power forward Carla Bartee (182-85, college: Mississippi) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 22 rebounds. Nigerian guard Promise Amukamara (173-93, college: Arizona St.) accounted for 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. American guard Angel Robinson (170-89, college: Marquette, agency: LBM Management) came up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds and Serbian swingman Andjela Radovic (176-95) added 10 points respectively for Sirius TgM in the defeat. Alexandria moved-up to second place, which they share with Satu Mare. Sirius TgM lost their eighth game in a row. They keep the ninth position with eight games lost. Alexandria will meet Olimpia Brasov (#5) on the road in the next round. Sirius TgM will play against Alba Iulia (#4) and hope to secure a win.
