The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Fenerbahce as it allowed them to take a leadership position after previous leader's (Tofas) loss. Fenerbahce defeated 16th ranked Usak Sportlif in Istanbul 89-72. Fenerbahce made 18-of-21 charity shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Usak Sportlif was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of international Melih Mahmutoglu (193-90) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and international guard Sinan Guler (192-83, college: Carroll, MT, agency: 1x1 Sports) who added 14 points and 6 assists during the contest. Four Fenerbahce players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Jordan Hamilton (201-90, college: Texas) with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Isaiah Miles (201-94, college: St.Joseph's) scored 17 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fenerbahce (10-2) have an impressive six-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Tofas. Usak Sportlif lost ninth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 11 games lost. Usak Sportlif will play next round against strong Eskisehir Basket trying to get back on the winning streak. Fenerbahce will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Besiktas. It will be extra interesting game as Besiktas is their local rival from Istanbul.
