Another exciting game was again a derby between two teams from Mersin: Mersin BSB (#10) and Cukurova (#8). Mersin BSB (5-6) won against visiting Cukurova (5-6) 73-66. Mersin BSB made 18-of-23 charity shots (78.3 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American center Krystal Thomas (195-89, college: Duke) who had a double-double by scoring 11 points and 16 rebounds. Her fellow American import guard Bria Hartley (173-92, college: Connecticut) chipped in 22 points. Ukrainian swingman Alina Iagupova (186-92, agency: LBM Management) produced a double-double by scoring 23 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Erlana Larkins (185-86, college: N.Carolina) added 18 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the guests. Cukurova's coach tested eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Mersin BSB moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Canik Belediye and Cukurova. Mersin BSB's next round opponent will be Canik Belediye (#9) in Samsun.
