There was no surprise in Bonn where 10th ranked Giessen 46ers (8-8) were defeated by eighth ranked Telekom Baskets (9-6) 83-78 on Friday. Telekom Baskets outrebounded Giessen 46ers 44-33 including 33 on the defensive glass. The game was dominated by American players. Power forward Julian Gamble (208-89, college: Miami, FL) fired a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) for the winners. Guard Malcolm Hill (198-95, college: Illinois, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 19 points. Telekom Baskets' coach Predrag Krunic used a ten-player rotation in such tough game.
