Not a big story in a game when 16th ranked Usak Sportlif (1-12) was defeated at home by fourth ranked Eskisehir Basket (10-3) 81-68. Eskisehir Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Usak Sportlif's 26 and made 21-of-25 charity shots (84.0 percent) during the game. It was a very good performance for American forward Jeff Ayres (206-87, college: Arizona St.) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). His fellow American import power forward Josh Duncan (203-86) contributed with 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Eskisehir Basket's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Jordan Hamilton (201-90, college: Texas) answered with 12 points and 5 rebounds and American-Bulgarian guard Earl Calloway (191-83, college: Indiana) added 6 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Usak Sportlif. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Eskisehir Basket. They moved-up to third place. Usak Sportlif lost their tenth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 12 games lost. Eskisehir Basket's next round opponent will be Besiktas (#4) in Istanbul. Usak Sportlif will play on the road against Demir IBB (#11) in Buyukcekmece and hope to win that game.
