Regular Season Round 16: Selcuklu - Bandirma Kir. 66-69

The most exciting game of round 16 in the TBL took place in Selcuk. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 3rd ranked Selcuklu (11-5) to sixth ranked Bandirma Kir. (10-6) 69-66 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Selcuklu. Worth to mention a great performance of Erxhan Osmani (-98) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Ismail-Cem Ulusoy (183-96, agency: Octagon Europe) who added 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side American forward Will Daniels (202-86, college: Rhode Island) responded with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds and the former international power forward Izzet Turkyilmaz (212-90) scored 9 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Bandirma Kir. maintains sixth position with 10-6 record, which they share with Karesi Spor. Newly promoted Selcuklu keeps the third place with five games lost. They share the position with Antalyaspor and Bursaspor. Bandirma Kir. is looking forward to face higher ranked Bursaspor (#3) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Selcuklu will play against Socar Petkim and is hoping to win this game.
