Very important is a home loss of second ranked Afyon Bld (13-3) against thirteenth ranked Orman Genclik (7-9) on Saturday night. Host Afyon Bld was defeated by Orman Genclik in a tough game in Afyonkarahisar 65-69. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Afyon Bld. Strangely Afyon Bld outrebounded Orman Genclik 44-24 including a 18-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by Caner Ercan (205-86) who scored that evening 20 points and American guard Antonio Graves (191-85, college: Pittsburgh) supported him with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Even a double-double of 18 points and 12 rebounds by American guard Marcos Knight (188-89, college: Middle Tenn.St., agency: BeoBasket) did not help to save the game for Afyon Bld. His fellow American import forward Jamelle Hagins (206-90, college: Delaware) added 17 points and 8 rebounds for lost side. Afyon Bld's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Orman Genclik moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Duzce Bld. Afyon Bld at the other side keeps the second position with three games lost. Orman Genclik will play against higher ranked Bakirkoy (#10) in Istanbul in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Afyon Bld will play on the road against Ankara D.S.I. (#15) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
