Very predictable result when ninth ranked EWE Baskets (9-6) defeated on the road 17th ranked Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (2-13) 90-80 on Saturday. EWE Baskets looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Austrian-Slovenian center Rasid Mahalbasic (210-90, agency: BeoBasket) fired 18 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. American swingman Rickey Paulding (196-82, college: Missouri) chipped in 21 points. EWE Baskets' coach Mladen Drijencic used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest.
