Regular Season Round 13: Sakarya BSB - Pinar Karsiyaka 90-78

Everything went according to plan when seventh ranked Sakarya BSB (8-5) beat at home 13th ranked Pinar Karsiyaka (4-9) 90-78. They outrebounded Pinar Karsiyaka 33-18 including 24 on the defensive glass. Sakarya BSB players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was a very good performance for French center Moustapha Fall (218-92) who helped to win the game recording 25 points (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field). American point guard Lazeric Jones (182-90, college: UCLA) contributed with 13 points and 5 assists for the winners. Sakarya BSB's coach Selcuk Ernak allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American swingman DJ Kennedy (198-89, college: St.John's) answered with 15 points and American-Hungarian power forward Jarrod Jones (207-90, college: Ball St.) added 18 points in the effort for Pinar Karsiyaka. The victory was the third consecutive win for Sakarya BSB. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Anadolu Efes. Pinar Karsiyaka at the other side keeps the thirteenth position with nine games lost. Sakarya BSB's next round opponent will be league's leader Fenerbahce in Istanbul and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Pinar Karsiyaka will play at home against Istanbul BBSK (#7) and hope to win that game.
