Not a big story in a game in Kaunas where 14th ranked KTU (5-20) was defeated by eighth ranked Taurages (12-13) 80-76. Taurages forced 19 KTU turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. KTU was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Rytis Pipiras (201-95) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Paulius Morkeliunas (202-85, college: LIU Brooklyn, agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Matas Ragauskas (192-96) answered with 20 points and 5 rebounds and guard Karolis Kokoska (194-92) added 12 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for KTU. KTU's coach Vytautas Pliauga tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Taurages moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Jonava and Ezerunas. KTU at the other side stay at the bottom position with 20 games lost. Taurages will play against Ezerunas (#9) in Moletai in the next round. KTU will play on the road against the league's second-placed Suduva-Mantinga (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
