Regular Season Round 25: Zalgiris II - Perlas 84-60

No shocking result in a game in Kaunas where sixth ranked Zalgiris II (14-11) smashed 11th ranked Perlas (9-16) 84-60. Zalgiris II dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Perlas' 30 and made 17-of-21 charity shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Zalgiris II forced 20 Perlas turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Rokas Jokubaitis (187-0) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 11 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists. Swingman Matas Jogela (198-98) contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Guard Karolis Giedraitis (193-98) answered with 20 points and Martynas Maskolaitis (200-97) added 10 points in the effort for Perlas. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Zalgiris II moved-up to fifth place. Perlas at the other side keeps the eleventh position with 16 games lost. Zalgiris II will play against Telsiai (#6) in Telsiu in the next round. Perlas will play on the road against Palanga (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
