Regular Season Round 15: Kamp-Lintfort - Grevenbroich 41-79

There was no surprise when 11th ranked Kamp-Lintfort (3-13) was outplayed at home by first ranked Grevenbroich (15-1) 79-41 on Saturday. Grevenbroich held Kamp-Lintfort to an opponent 23.9 percent shooting from the field compared to 40.8 percent accuracy of the winners. It was a great evening for Croatian-Bosnian forward Marko Boksic (201-93, agency: PEPI SPORT) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Farid Sadek (188-83) helped adding 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Grevenbroich players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was center Gideon Schwich (192-87) with 14 points and 8 rebounds and guard Paul Krueger (182-90) scored 11 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for Grevenbroich. They maintain first place in West with 15-1 record. Kamp-Lintfort lost their eighth game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the tenth position with 13 games lost. Grevenbroich will face Dorsten (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Kamp-Lintfort will play against Herford and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
