Very predictable result when eighth ranked Acibadem (10-7) defeated on the road 15th ranked Samsun (4-13) 77-71 on Saturday. Acibadem made 21-of-25 free shots (84.0 percent) during the game. Samsun was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Center Hakan Yapar (202-84) stepped up and scored 16 points for the winners and American power forward D.J. White (206-86, college: Indiana) chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds. Four Acibadem players scored in double figures. American point guard David Holston (168-86, college: Chicago St.) responded with 26 points and Cihan Amasyali (191-83) scored 14 points. Samsun's coach Servet Ozsuner rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Acibadem. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Bandirma Kir. and Karesi Spor. Samsun lost their seventh game in a row. They keep the fifteenth position with 13 games lost. Acibadem will face Duzce Belediye (#10) on the road in the next round. Samsun will play against Selcuklu (#5) and hope to win that game.
