Host Artland Dragons were defeated by Herzoege Wolfenbuettel in a tough game in Quakenbrueck 72-77. Artland Dragons were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American guard Demetrius Ward (188-90, college: W.Michigan) who led his team to a victory with 28 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Point guard Constantin Ebert (184-96) contributed with 15 points and 4 assists for the winners. Ward is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Herzoege Wolfenbuettel moved-up to third place in North, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Artland Dragons.
