Regular Season Round 15: Lich II - Limburg 92-77

Not a big story in a game when 15th ranked Limburg (1-13) was defeated on the road by thirteenth ranked Lich II (3-10) 92-77 on Saturday. The game without a history. Lich II led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Limburg's 34. They outrebounded Limburg 40-26 including a 17-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Lich II looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for American guard Chris Longoria (193-92, college: Valdosta St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 8 rebounds, 14 assists and 4 steals. Dominik Turudic (202-94) helped adding 26 points. Longoria is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. Lich II's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was American forward Dominic Early (198-93, college: Co.Georgia, agency: Aspire Sports) with 31 points and 7 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and Serbian-Croatian power forward Milos Drca (205-88) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Lich II maintains thirteenth place in South-West with 3-10 record. Limburg lost their eleventh game in a row. They keep the fifteenth position with 13 games lost. Lich II will face league's second-placed BV Villingen-Schwenningen at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Limburg will play against the league's leader Speyer (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
