An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Oliveira. Second ranked Oliveirense faced one of their biggest challengers FC Porto Ferpinta. Host Oliveirense (11-3) defeated guests from Porto (9-5) 81-66. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of FC Porto Ferpinta. It was a good game for the former international forward Arnette Hallman (200-88) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds. The former international forward Joao Balseiro (192-87) contributed with 18 points for the winners. American forward Will Sheehey (201-92, college: Indiana) replied with 15 points and American-Irish swingman Will Hanley (201-90, college: Bowdoin, agency: Duran International) added 10 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for FC Porto Ferpinta. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. FC Porto Ferpinta's coach rotated eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Oliveirense maintains second position with 11-3 record having just two points less than leader Benfica. FC Porto Ferpinta at the other side keeps the third place with five games lost. They share the position with Vitoria SC. Oliveirense will play against Galitos-Barreiro (#8) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. FC Porto Ferpinta will play against the league's leader Benfica (#1) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
