Not a big story in a game when 11th ranked ALBA-2 (4-9) was defeated on the road by second ranked Neustadt TSV (11-2) 88-71 on Saturday. Neustadt TSV dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to ALBA-2's 38. Neustadt TSV forced 21 ALBA-2 turnovers. It was a great evening for Mubarak Salami (197-96) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 4 steals. Dutch power forward Jandell Hersisia (200-90) helped adding 24 points. Five Neustadt TSV players scored in double figures. Neustadt TSV's coach Allen Smith allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was American Abdulah Kameric (190-0) with 22 points and Hendrik Drescher (204-0) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for Neustadt TSV. Newly promoted Neustadt TSV maintains second place in North with 11-2 record having seven points less than leader Grevenbroich. Loser ALBA-2 dropped to the tenth position with nine games lost. Neustadt TSV will face WSG Koenigs (#10) in Wildau in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
