The game with biggest result difference took place in Targu Mures. Local Sirius TgM (2-10) was outscored by second ranked Satu Mare (9-3) 89-67 on Saturday night. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Satu Mare dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Sirius TgM's 30. They outrebounded Sirius TgM 43-25 including a 34-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Satu Mare looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. American guard Taneisha Harrison (182-89, college: Pittsburgh) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and Lithuanian swingman Marina Solopova (182-90) chipped in 18 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists. Four Satu Mare players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Angel Robinson (170-89, college: Marquette, agency: LBM Management) responded with 18 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and Emese Gal (-92) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Satu Mare maintains second place with 9-3 record having just sixteen point less than leader Sf.Gheorghe. Sirius TgM lost their tenth game in a row. They keep the ninth position with ten games lost. Satu Mare will meet at home ICIM Arad (#6) in the next round. Sirius TgM will play against Olimpia Brasov and hope to secure a win.
