Very predictable result in Neustadt where third ranked Aschersleben (9-4) defeated 12th ranked Weser Bsk/BTS (2-11) 69-65 on Saturday. It was a great evening for Finnish swingman Vesa Heinonen (194-91) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points and 9 rebounds. Croatian power forward Dino Erceg (203-85) helped adding 16 points and 12 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Canadian forward Ismar Kriese (201-94) with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Lukas Koehler (196-96) scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. Aschersleben maintains third place in North with 9-4 record having nine points less than leader Grevenbroich, which they share with Vechta II. Weser Bsk/BTS lost their seventh game in a row. They keep the twelfth position with 11 games lost. Aschersleben will face Rendsburg (#5) at home in the next round.
