Important game to mention about took place in Goettingen. Eighth ranked Goetting.ASC (7-6) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 7th ranked Bergedorf (6-7) 74-71 on Saturday evening. Goetting.ASC forced 20 Bergedorf turnovers. Bergedorf was plagued by 31 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for swingman Jorge Schmidt (193-85) who led the winners and scored 24 points and 8 rebounds. Swingman Nick Boakye (197-95) accounted for 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Marvin Steinberg (200-87) came up with 19 points and 7 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and swingman Florian Bunde (194-86) added 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Bergedorf in the defeat. Five Bergedorf players scored in double figures. Bergedorf's coach Bjoern Fock rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Goetting.ASC moved-up to fifth place in North, which they share with Stade and Rendsburg. Bergedorf lost their fifth game in a row. Bergedorf at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the eighth position with seven games lost.
